Kythera consists of a charming destination and one of the unexplored corners of Greece.

In Kithira, there are a lot of beaches for swimming and rest, such as Fyri Ammos, Agia Pelagia, Komponada, Melidoni, Plateia Ammos, Kapsali, Kaladi, Diakofti. From the admirable monuments of the island are Katouni, Myrtidiotissa, Agia Moni, Agia Elessa, the Archaeological and Byzantine Museum, Despina Vouno, the cavern of Agia Sofia.

Agia Pelagia, one of the bigger coastal villages, is located in the north part of the island opposite of Neapoli and the cape Malias in Peloponnesus.
